What’s the deal?

Yerba Mate dates back to the pre-Columbian era, when the local Guaraní people in Paraguay discovered and started to aggressively cultivate the Ilex paraguariensis plant. Strong, bitter, and vegetal, Yerba Mate has a very distinctive taste similar to coffee and can require adjusting to. If you’re not too careful and drink too much of this elixir, you can float amongst the clouds. 

El Yerba has about 80 mg of caffeine per cup compared to 85mg in a cup of coffee – all the caffeine as well as anti-inflammatory saponins, chlorophyll, and potent antioxidants which is great for your health!
